There are three points that need to be made clear:
1) Some toxins will not be removed from water by some of these methods. 2) Water will generally require both one filtration method (ie removing particles from the water) AND one sterilization/sanitation method (ie killing microorganisms). I recommend filtration first, then sterilization/sanitation. 3) You cannot prepare too much for water purification. Bad water is a major cause of death in third-world regions and disaster zones.
