I got the inspiration to do this after watching a MRE Video on YouTube that said that the Mountain House Dehydrated foodstuff are not what can be called MRE as they're not truly Ready to Eat. So I looked at what is available in Singapore and built a MRE (which components are interchangeable). What we have here are the components for a full day's meal for 1 pax. The contents are as follows: 1. Precooked Rice from Daiso. This package is 200g split into 2 x 100g packs. 2. 1 Tin Sardines 3. 1 Tin Chicken Curry 4. 1 pack Nature Valley Granola Bar 5. 1 pack plum flavored cracker and Peanut snack 6. 1 satchet Lipton Tea 7. 1 Tube 60g Honey 8. Condiments - Salt, Pepper and Sugar I have made some assumptions here. They are basically, 1. You have cutlery with you. 2. This is for 1 person for 1 day. Small and light enough to carry for 1 person. 3. You have your own Hobo Stove, MEss Tin, Mess Cup to heat up stuff if you need. This is a true MRE, because, the honey is dissolvable in room temperature water, all food stuff can be eaten out of the tin/pack without cooking. Tinned food can be replaced as you like. I would reccomend these if you need variety. 1. Minced pork with black beans 2. Stewed Pork Cubes 3. Tuna 4. Mutton/Beef Curry from Amocan IF you guyts want, I can post a 2 person MRE also. Just remember, to feed 2 people you will need more food, so it'll be bigger and heavier.

I am intrigued by your "Precooked Rice from Daiso" idea. Cool. If we don't have any means to heat it, able to just eat it? For the other items shown in your picture, I believe no problem in consuming without heating, I suppose.

yup, I've tried consuming the pre cooked rice.
you can replace the precooked rice for food from Mustafa. I'll do up another thread on that when i swing by that area again.
I ran out of the mustafa MREs hahaha... ate them in office :X
