Each knife will have a different design since all knives will be of different shape and size.
First Knife is a Commemorative Special Forces Knife from China - surprisingly good quality. Second Knife is a Damascus Steel Knife for skinning. Both knives were purchased without sheaths and are very different in shape. The Chinese knife has an odd shaped finger guard and the Skinner has a rectangle shape where the wood grip begins.
Photo 1 - selection of appropriate size PVC, generous cutting to planned length. The wood in the vice stops the vice grips damaging the PVC.
Photo 2 - using a heat gun to mold to my specs. if the heat gun gets too close, it will burn the PVC and make it brittle.
Photo 3 - marking out and cutting with grinder using a grinder blade or if perfection is required, use tile cutting blade.

The finished products.
Photo 1 - two different designs. Use of thin leather strap glued with glue gun to help with gripping the sheath and hootchie cord whipped to help in gripping the sheath and give attaching point for para cord.
Photo 2 - the first knife would be stored inside a pack and has no attaching point. However, it is easy to add a belt loop or sheet metal (for a kydex styled finish) with metal belt clips.
Photo 3 - the simple para cord looped through the whipping allows the knife to be attached to a belt, additionally, the knife is top heavy and the para cord goes around the knife handle as well. The square opening of the sheath allows the knife to click in and was worth the extra 30 min of using the heat gun to get it just right.
