Well, the New Year is 2 weeks upon us, so we'll start this thread for this year;
Ok, it's been 15 days alcohol free ( a big deal for me ). I've started a fitness regime - once a week I train with a trainer doing fitness & then boxing. I also have converted half of my garage into a gym - eliptic walker, boxing bag, stepper, weights etc. The plan is to lose weight, and get fitter, as the past 12 months I have been very lazy, drinking too much, and no exercise.
So, In the past 2 weeks I have gone from 105 kg to 97 kg. The plan is to get to about 85-87 kg, and stay at that weight, while continuing with the fitness.
I am trying to eat healthier, more fresh fish, chicken, pork, salads and fruit (I'm about to devour a Jackfruit).
Preparedness wise, I've made a list of things I need that are not food related, as well as making a list of more food stuffs. I have moved all my canned food inside the house from the shed where it is cooler and drier.
I've started to look at some blocks of land - my ideal block is about 80-100 acres, with water, and mostly scrub ( more wildlife to hunt ), with a small section of land to grow vegetables and fruit trees.
My small vegetable garden is going ok - getting a steady supply of tomatoes and chilli (HOT ones too), my lemon grass is raging, as well as my thai eggplant tree ( no fruit yet ), and cucumbers are going well, but no fruit yet.
I have planted some jack fruit and papaya seeds - I will see how well they will grow here, if at all.

Well, the fitness regime is slowing down, but, still sticking with the 'no alcohol' policy.
Going to do a big shop later this week - lots of tinned foods, rice etc. Have to find a good hidy spot now for these extra goodies I plan to get.

Hi Jay,
I am still pursuing the fitness goals, my minimum effort is fight training for 10 min using 1kg hand weights with a bit of kicking thrown in, trunk twisting using a stick with small weights attached for 10 min, and stationary bike/running for 10 min. It is extremely hot, so am waiting for the weather to change. I do various weight exercises for a total of 1 hour on alternate days. At least I can defend myself using various skills.
Experimenting growing peanuts.
