I have mainly lived in Vietnam since 2008. I do travel to Australia to pick up eBay items, do my Tax, go shopping and visit friends. I have a Holden Barina, bicycle, and survival camping gear I keep in Darwin.
Most of the threads I write will be for the Asian region, so I think this Forum is more suited to me. However, the Threads will contain useful information for everyone.
I have a good Western Lifestyle (spend/waste lots of money and have lots of time on my hands, now that I am retired) but I'm prepped to 'go hard' in a more traditional local Homesteading Lifestyle if ever required.
I know a lot but don't know everything and still do much by way of trial and error.

Hi mate! Welcome on board!

Just an update on myself. I did work fulltime in 2012 and part time in 3013 and a little in 2014. I was told that I past my use by date. I gave the Barina away and bought a Nissan XTrail, it is 4x4 but no low range and I will be writing more in bugging out about it. I still have a lot of gear in storage in Darwin, including a compound bow.
I travel more now, within Vietnam and Philippines. Philippines is 2 hrs flying time and has many disasters. I have many friends there, including an old Aussie buddy who teaches Permaculture to foreigners and locals.
