This is my new/next project.
Wood pallets are given away here where I live, and I found plans for a shed built out of them, but I am going to make it a bit larger.

This is the rough plan I am using-if I can get hold of an old caravan, I'll build the shed around it.
The place I am building on is a mate's place, 10's of thousands of acres, so lots of places to hide. We have already got a pot belly stove ( freebie ), bricks for the foundations ( freebies ), and 1000l IBCs for water storage (more freebies). Once we are done with the shed, we will build a wood fired hot water service, shower, bath & toilet.

That's the plan anyway.

A few photos - the first few are my option 1 site - low lying ( very damp at night ), easy access to ground water, well sheltered.


Will be sussing out the property for more possible sites to build on.

The last two photos are option 2 - fairly high up, very windy, and a hike down the hill to water, but more isolated than Option 1.

Well, I did some more exploring, and found the location for my 1st BOL. It's fairly well sheltered, has some nice flat areas for growing food, lots of timber, lots more wildlife ( check out the hunting/fishing section ). Here are a few photos I took;








The first photo is the drive in to the area i will use;
Photo 2 is looking West - lots of scrub, and LOTS of rabbits;
Photo 3 is the area i will start to build my small shack-on a slight lean to allow good water run off.
