The only thing I've done of late was to buy a new machete early this week for trimming the tree that's pestering my power line, of which I plan on doing tomorrow when the sun is out.
Cheers!

Photo 1 - checked out the security fence at the small block - still have another 3 days before completion.
Photo 2 - average photo of foods near the small block, although there is a little smoke haze (paw paw, banana, coconut, pumpkin vine, duck/fish pond).

I thought the 3rd photo was the famous pond you mentioned to me LOL...
Went to the grocery last night. Saw a Japan flashlight that runs on an AA battery and can be a small lamp. I plan on getting two of them for emergency. Added a few more AA batteries and two cans of SPAM to my stock.

ordered 2 boxes of MH Best Sellers Box.
Should arrive in 3 weeks.
Tried MH Teriyaki Chicken and Rice. Not bad. Abit too gingery for my taste but extremely edible and the chicken is quite good too

In HCMC, cleaning out the house. Noticed my home made spear, used for rats, is broken and one of the padlocks to a door doesn't lock. The clean out is to check what maintenance I need to do to the place and ensure everything is serviceable. I wish people told me when something breaks.

Rice can be kept in vacuum sealed packets for up to 10 years. No worries mate To convince the MRS to prep, I'm just buying my rice in 5kg bags and freezing them before storing them seperately.

Just purchased 2 AC to USB Power Adaptors as back-up to my current AC to USB Power Adaptor. These can be used in my planned solar set-up where I would be running 5V USB fans.

Just bought a new 4m wood canoe, a little bigger than my other wood canoe. This canoe is being re-sealed to ensure it stays water proof for longer. The canoe will be used to fairy rice, fishing, and to fix the rice paddies by cross leveling mud in the rice field.
Photo 1: new canoe.
Photo 2: inner parts to canoe, including paddle.

Just be careful, jay. freezing rice will introduce moisture into the rice (although rice does have a 5% to 8% moisture content) and may result in mold and mildew. Got 1 can tinned peas and 1 can of tinned garbanzos (chickpeas). Will try them out first before deciding to purchase more. Yeah, I saw that - the video said to let it de-frost to room temp, then bottle with a vacuum sealed lid - I'll give it a go. thats what i did too. I put them into plastic pet bottles (600ml) looks ok for now. Will test them again in 3 months time.
