I got a 2200mah powerbank and 2 units of 1 LED USB lamps. The 1 LED can provide illumination for a room of 3.5m x 4m. Not like regular light but at least you can see around the room. hi overlord, do you have a picture of the 1 LED lamp? If its USB, you would need an adapter for use at electric power point? Sorry for the late reply. had data connection issues for sites like this.
www.cdrking.com/index.php?mod=products&type=view&sid=15882&main=140#.VKnoyk39niw
I did a test run, ran the light for about 2 days. Hardly made a dent in the charge of the powerbank.
Yep, there is an adaptor that you can purchase that has a USB port. You can use this to charge the powerbank and also to light the lamp.
I replaced the powerbank with a 2600mah one. had some quality issues with the 2200mah one.
I also did the following purchases for my preps: 1) 5-LED Lamp for caps (plus spare 10 CR2032 batteries, each pair gives about 96 hours of light) 2) 6 AA batteries 3) 2 Cans of SPAM
Am purchasing in small amounts so the missus doesn't complain.

oh dear! Jay, glad you're back, mate!
I bought my first fixed blade knife today. Had been using foldable before that.
Its a moira. Swedish Fire Knife by Light my fire. It was on offer at Isetan Wisma for 39.90 SGD
Its old stock which means the rubber coating is a little dodgy, but cheap enough I could live with. anyway, if it bothers me too much, nothing a little duct tape can't solve

bought another flash light - LED LENSER P2 or something. It was on 50% off and I couldn't resist. Got some bags for making single use survival kits. tidyed up my prepping part of my table, going to make a few single use survival kits for travelling. I've brought the kit down to 1. mini Lighter 2. 3 x wax coated matchstick 3. 3 x cotton ball with vaseline 4. 2 x band aid 5. 2 x coffee filter 6. 2 x foodgrade sandwich bag 7. 2 x iodine stick (betadine iodine with cotton swab) 8. 1 x folding pen knife 9. 1 x sewing kit 10. 1 x alcohol swab 11. 2 x salt satchet 12. 1 x sugar satchet 13. 5 x mini zip ties 14. 3 x 20min candles Gonna impulse seal these into a food grade bag. Then adding them (its quite flat the packet) into a B5 sized bag with a disposable table cloth. Single Use survival Kit

Bought 2 cans of SPAM, 1 can of Hereford Corned Beef, and 2 cans of Solid Brick Tuna in Vegetable oil. Really hard to make bulk purchases when the wife is looking over your shoulder LOL
Also, we have been cooking with the Butane stove since January 1 to test how many hours each canister can give us. So far, KONICE has the longest at 4.5 hours total cooking time.

i went to Mustafa yesterday to pick up 2kg of raw cashews and 2kg of raw almonds and came across these Ready to Eat (read this as MRE) Indian food. Mainly basmati rice with dal or paneer or something like that at an affordable price. Bought 3 to try. If good will buy more. good might be keen to check it out too.
